This year, we’re thrilled to share the pre-sale of our Mitz Imperial Stout series! Featuring four exclusive barrel-aged variants, each showcases rich, complex flavors crafted over time. This year’s limited-edition flavors include Vanilla Bean, Maple Crème Brûlée, Double Fudge Brownie, and Bourbon Barrel Aged. Each bottle is packaged, labeled, and wax dipped and stamped by hand, a true labor of love. These are available for pre-sale in a 4 pack set, or a 4 pack with a limited edition glass to enjoy with these variants.

The Mitz is our Imperial Stout venture, crafted with bold flavors that celebrate unique expressions. This series also pays tribute to Mitzy the Brewery Cat—one of 603 Brewery’s most storied and well-traveled members. Mitzy has served as head of security, grain protector, and night shift manager, sharing her affection with employees, customers, and all things 603. These days, you can find her lounging in the office, charming visitors for treats, and occasionally making her rounds on the production floor. Cheers to Mitzy and the legacy she inspires!

Bourbon Barrel Aged…11.9% ABV
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout, Aged for 18 Months

Mitzy’s Story: "This stout is a tribute to my time as a farm kitty in Kentucky and my adventures as a first made in the Caribbean. It began in the finest bourbon barrels, slumbering for 18 months, then rested in rum barrels for another 12. The result? Rich, complex flavors that tell the tale of my early years. Cheers to my journey!”

Vanilla Bean Imperial Stout…11.9% ABV
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Madagascar & Tahitian Vanilla Beans

Mitzy’s Story: "In 2012, I jumped on “9 Lives & Me” ancestry; lo and behold, I discovered I’m descended from a notorious ship cat who sailed aboard a pirate vessel that disappeared with a treasure trove. We set sail to find my inheritance and landed on the island of Taha’a. While no doubloons were found, we struck gold when I set a paw on the secret vanilla orchids. This adventure inspired my Vanilla Bean Mitz."

Maple Crème Brûlée…11.9% ABV
Imperial Stout Aged in American Whiskey Barrels with Maple, Madagascar Vanilla Bean, & Brûléed Lactose

Mitzy’s Story: "Many moons ago, while wandering near the White Mountains, I stumbled into a sugar shack and discovered the sweet world of maple sugaring. Back home in Londonderry, I set out to marry that amber maple magic with my Parisian love of caramelized desserts. The result? A decadent, barrel-aged beauty of silky vanilla, creamy custard, and a crackle of brûléed sugar, kissed with pure maple sweetness.."

Double Fudge Brownie…11.9% ABV
Imperial Stout Aged in American Whiskey Barrels with Cacao Nibs, Fudge, Madagascar Vanilla Bean, & a Hint of Espresso

Mitzy’s Story: "Some cats chase mice, which I’ve done, but now, I chase brownies. Nothing tops a pan of warm, double-fudge brownies… except maybe licking the batter first. One snowy New England afternoon, the brewery filled with the scent of gooey fudge and sparked this creation: a barrel-aged imperial stout layered with rich cocoa, chewy fudge, dark chocolate, and a velvety-smooth finish. Like snagging the corner piece…in every sip.."
